Create an everlasting dried Christmas wreath and learn how to write beautiful festive calligraphy.

Join Elen from Newman Garden Design and Louise from LouPaper for a collaborative festive workshop. During this hands-on 3 hour workshop, you’ll make a dried Christmas wreath and learn improver's modern calligraphy with a nib and ink, perfect for Christmas cards and tags. 

Wreath making

A dried wreath can be a wonderful gift, a warm welcome on your door or a beautiful wall decoration, becoming part of your décor for years to come.

You will have a guided tutorial of how to create your wreath, and will then be given free rein of the beautiful curated materials to design your own creation. We will be on hand with expert guidance to help you along the way and ensure you leave with your own gorgeous crafted wreath.

Modern Calligraphy

Perfect for anyone that has attended a beginners workshop in person or online, or those that have a basic understanding of modern calligraphy. You will learn how to develop your own unique modern calligraphy style, improve your overall technique and be introduced to  metallic ink and different surfaces – with a festive theme.

Working on a written quote or phrase, we will focus on improving your  overall modern calligraphy technique, exploring spacing, joining and  proportions, with the aim of creating a finished piece at the end of the class.

The cost includes your very own calligraphy kit (worth £15); a metallic ink, pen, nib and coloured cards and tags, along with a workbook of exercises and tips, so you can continue practicing at home.

Each session will last for 90 minutes. There will be a 30 minute break between session where festive refreshments will be provided.

Please wear suitable clothing.

All resources and materials will be provided.

There are plenty of car parking spaces in the venue car park.

10 people maximum at each session. Age 16+

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. If the workshop is cancelled due to COVID-19, we will postpone to a later date.

Suitable measures have been taken to ensure social distancing for the duration of the workshop. Guest numbers are limited to ensure that seats are at least 1.5m apart from each other. Hand sanitiser will be on hand and regular use will be encouraged. All venues adhere to the social distancing government guidelines.
